Our Privacy Commitment

Lexis, a product by Nalara, is built on a fundamental principle: your data is yours alone. We have architected our entire system to ensure we never see, store, or have access to your content.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your submitted text content — processed in volatile memory only
• Your rewritten output — streamed directly to your browser and purged
• User accounts or profiles — we have none
• Browsing history or usage patterns
• IP addresses tied to content
• Server-side request body logs — explicitly disabled in our codebase

What We Do Process

• Payment data: Handled entirely by Paddle. We receive only transaction IDs and plan information. We never see credit card numbers. All prices are subject to local tax as determined by Paddle.
• JWT tokens: Signed tokens stored in your browser containing plan type, word balance, and Order ID. These are never stored on our servers.
• Word usage counters: We store anonymous numeric counters (words consumed per Order ID) and purchased tone pack identifiers in Upstash Redis. No text content, personal information, or identifiable data is stored — only a number and a plan reference.

Stateless Architecture

Lexis operates without user accounts or a traditional database. There are no user records, no content logs, no analytics tables. Your text enters our system, is processed by the AI model in volatile memory, and the result is streamed back to you. Once the stream closes, the buffer is purged. We use minimal server-side storage (Redis) solely for anonymous word usage counters and tone pack ownership — no text or personal data is ever persisted.

Third-Party Services

• Google Gemini API:Your text is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing. Google's API data usage policies apply. We use the API in a mode that does not retain data for model training.
• Paddle:Payment processing only. Subject to Paddle's privacy policy. Paddle collects payment information and calculates applicable local taxes.
• Upstash Redis: Stores anonymous word usage counters and tone pack ownership keyed by Order ID. No text content or personal data is stored.

Cookies

We use a single functional cookie (lexis_auth) to maintain your session. It contains your JWT token and is required for the service to function. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party cookies.
