Terms of Service
1. Service Description
Lexis ("the Service"), a product by Nalara, is a serverless text rewriting tool that processes user-submitted text through AI language models to produce human-like variations while preserving semantic meaning.
2. Zero-Retention Guarantee
Lexis claims no ownership of your content. We do not store, view, log, or use your text data for training, analytics, or any other purpose. All text is processed in volatile memory and purged immediately upon response completion. Once your session ends, your text is gone forever.
3. Stateless Architecture
Lexis operates without user accounts or a traditional database. Access is governed by signed JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) issued upon payment verification. We store anonymous word usage counters and tone pack ownership in server-side storage (Redis), keyed by Order ID. No personal information, text content, or usage history is stored.
4. Payment & Access
Payments are processed through Paddle. All prices displayed are exclusive of local tax, which is calculated and applied by Paddle at checkout based on your location. Upon successful payment, you receive an Order ID which serves as your recovery key. It is your responsibility to save this Order ID. Lexis cannot recover lost Order IDs.
5. Usage Limits
Each plan includes a word limit as described on our pricing page. Word consumption is counted from the AI-generated output. Ink provides 3,000 words and Script provides 40,000 words as one-time credit packs that never expire. Press provides up to 100,000 words per monthly billing period. Plans cannot be combined or stacked — each purchase is independent.
6. Tone Packs
Tone Packs are optional add-ons ($0.99 + local tax each) that unlock specialized writing styles. Each Tone Pack is a separate purchase — buying one does not include others. Tone Packs are tied to the plan they are activated on and remain active as long as the associated plan has available word balance or an active subscription.
7. Refund Policy
Lexis provides best-effort text humanization. Due to the evolving nature of AI detection algorithms, we cannot guarantee 100% bypass rates. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis through Paddle within 7 days of purchase.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not use Lexis for content that violates applicable laws, infringes on intellectual property rights, or constitutes fraud. You are responsible for the content you submit and how you use the output.
9. Human Score & Detection Disclaimer
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Human Score displayed after each rewrite is an AI-generated estimate of detection bypass likelihood — it is not a guarantee and should not be relied upon as a definitive measure. Lexis does not guarantee uninterrupted service, specific detection bypass rates, or fitness for any particular purpose. AI detection technology evolves continuously, and results may vary across different detection tools.
